Will also assist in coordinating projects and managing business relationships. Should have a J.D. degree with superior academic credentials from a nationally-recognized law school and 5-7 years of experience as a lawyer in a major law firm or in the legal department of a leading financial organization. Experience with application of Title I of ERISA to complex financial products is required. Experience with the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, the Investment Company Act of 1940, the Dodd-Frank Act and federal securities' laws is helpful. Experience in drafting and negotiating investment management agreements with pension plans and trading documentation with counterparties (derivatives, repurchase agreements) and as well as required disclosure documents is a plus.
