Must have considerable knowledge of sales and use tax implications on FAS 5, and software tools available to automate sales and use tax compliance decisions. Should preferably have comprehensive technical skills in a wide range of multistate sales and use tax matters, including FAS 5, reverse audits, tax planning, consulting, compliance, automation, mergers and acquisitions, controversy and audit defense.

Responsibilities: Conduct day-to-day management of accounts by delivering all tax consulting services to the client and bringing in specialists, when necessary. Oversee complex tax research projects for clients across a diverse range of industries. Build client relationships and demonstrate knowledge of client business. Participate in engagements requiring tax analysis for a variety of entities and their affiliates. Conduct research and analysis of a wide range of tax issues related to business transactions and tax implications of financing techniques. Supervise assignments of professional accountants serving as Associates and Senior Associates through mentoring and performance feedback. Develop and motivate staff by providing them with leadership, counseling and career guidance. Assist with new business development, including add-on business.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or other business related field. CPA, Enrolled Agent or other appropriate certification required. Advanced degree like MST, MAcc, J.D. or LL.M. is preferred. 4+ years of public accounting experience or equivalent gained working in law firms or industry. Proven, excellent interaction skills with management / significant executive presence. Prior Big Four experience a plus. Working experience with FAS 109 and FIN 48 a plus.

Duties: Responsible for providing multi-jurisdictional clients with a wide variety of tax consulting and compliance services. Assist with tax-planning responsibilities for multi-jurisdictional corporate clients, including assistance with FAS 109 and FIN 48 analyses and state effective tax rate planning. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or other business related field. CPA, Enrolled Agent or other appropriate certification (or in the process of pursuing). Advanced degree like MST, Macc, J.D. or LL.M. would be preferred. 2+ years of public accounting or equivalent industry experience in providing tax planning services and preparing and reviewing client work papers and state and local income tax returns. Strong academic credentials needed. Knowledge of managing projects, including scheduling, budgeting, client correspondence and billing. Excellent oral and written communication skills. RIA, GoSystems Tax, FAS 109 and provision experience. Prior Big Four experience a plus. Willingness to travel required.
