The candidate will be responsible for the delivery of a full range of tax services for multiple clients in a wide variety of industries. Responsibilities include interacting closely with clients to provide innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise; providing primary and secondary review of complex tax returns; developing and managing staff; and working closely with partners and staff on client management, practice development, and business development activities. Mentor and supervise tax professionals serving as Associates and interns. Effectively manage a team of people to deliver a technically and quantitatively correct, well documented work product.
The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or other business related field. CPA, Enrolled Agent or other appropriate certification (or in the process of pursuing) required. Advanced degree like MST, Macc, J.D. or LL.M. would be preferred. Must have 2+ years of public accounting or equivalent industry experience in providing tax planning services and preparing and reviewing client work papers and state and local income tax returns. Knowledge of managing projects, including scheduling, budgeting, client correspondence and billing needed. RIA, GoSystems Tax, FAS 109 and provision experience required. Prior Big Four experience a plus. Should have a willingness to travel as required.
