Will help develop and train staff, as well as keep resources, procedures, and tools current. Will also have the opportunity to gain exposure to other areas of our Performance and Reward practice, which may include plan operations, retirement plan risk, and 404 and transaction projects. Manage executive compensation projects both in and out of the transaction setting and perform and/or supervise internal and external market competitive analysis for various executive compensation projects, including base salary, annual incentives, and long-term incentives. Draft technical memos and opinions addressing Code Sections 83, 162(m), 280G and 409A. Assist with or manage the design and implementation of various compensation programs and assess the prevalence of these programs within diverse industries. Assist in providing technical advisory services relative to tax, accounting, regulatory and governance matters. Help to grow and sustain ongoing client relationships. Coordinate staffing and fulfillment on projects, including assisting with staffing projects on a national basis through our compensation knowledge network. Supervise and provide leadership to staff. Initiate and participate in business development/marketing activities.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree and 5 years of related work experience OR a Graduate degree and 4 years of related work experience. A degree in accounting, business, finance, human resources, or a related field is required. An MBA, Master's of Tax, or J.D. degree with strong academic credentials would be a plus. Must have 3-4 years of related executive compensation tax experience, preferably in a professional services environment. Prior compensation consulting experience a plus.
