Former Home Depot corporate counsel hired by Aaron Rents Atlanta-based Aaron Rents, Inc., has hired former Home Depot Corporate Counsel Elizabeth L. Gibbs to serve as Vice President and General Counsel. Gibbs has had vast experience in dealing with corporate and private practice issues. She has held several key legal positions in different organizations, including New York law firms and publicly held and private companies located in New York City and Atlanta. Aaron Rents, Inc., is a leader in providing sales and lease ownership, specialty retailing and rental of residential and office furniture, consumer electronics, and home appliances and accessories. Rambus hires senior VP and GC California-based Rambus, Inc., which specializes in chip interface manufacturing, has hired Thomas R. Lavelle as Senior Vice President and General Counsel. Lavelle will manage the company's general legal issues, including securities, compliance, intellectual property, and litigation matters. Lavelle has vast experience working with leading technology companies, including Xilinx and Intel Corporation, where he provided expertise in all areas of legal compliance, including technology licensing and antitrust enforcement. He has been a key member in the management of these companies, focusing on corporate governance and compliance initiatives. New GC position at Christopher & Banks Reflecting significant managerial changes, Minnesota-based Christopher & Banks Corporation, a retailer of women's clothing, has inducted David H. Weiser as Senior Vice President and General Counsel. In the newly created general counsel position, Weiser will report to the chief executive officer of the organization and will focus on corporate governance, SEC disclosure, employment, commercial contracts, intellectual property, and other general legal issues. Weiser has served in several senior level positions and handled legal matters for a number of multinational companies, including Ameriprise Financial and Lenox Group, Inc. PuriCore appoints senior VP and GC Pennsylvania-based PuriCore, PLC, appointed attorney Andrea Holtzman Drucker as Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary. A former employee of Novavax, Inc., Drucker has vast experience in handling legal matters involving commercial transactions focusing on business development, as well as corporate governance, intellectual property, and regulatory matters associated with the Food and Drug Administration. Backed by experience in life sciences at large, well-established and smaller organizations, Drucker brings invaluable expertise that will add value to PuriCore's existing and developing businesses. Phibro Animal Health names new GC New Jersey-based Phibro Animal Health Corporation appointed Thomas G. Dagger Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary. Dagger will assume responsibility for managing the legal affairs of the company. Formerly, as Law Vice President at AT&T, Dagger oversaw AT&T's U.S. network operations, research and development, worldwide customer care, and business local services matters. Phibro intends to gain leverage from Dagger's depth of legal and business experience. PG&E elects new GC PG&E Corporation, which is headquartered in San Francisco, has elected Hyun Park to serve as Senior Vice President and General Counsel. Park replaces Bruce R. Worthington, who has held the position since 1997. In his new role, Park will be responsible for leading and directing legal functions for PG&E and its subsidiaries, including its principal subsidiary, Pacific Gas and Electric Company. Park will primarily oversee corporate governance, regulatory and securities law compliance, and litigation strategy matters, as well as all legal matters related to significant corporate transactions. Park joins PG&E Corporation from Allegheny Energy, Inc., in Pennsylvania, where he served as Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary. |
